Why is Testing Necessary ?

The Electricity at Work Regulations of 1989, which came into force 1st April 1990 states a need to maintain a regular program of inspection and testing of all electrical equipment and systems.
The designated duty holder, foreman, or managing director has a legal obligation to take all necessary precautions to prevent death or injury from electricity at work.

Failure to comply with EWR 1989 could subject the duty holder to prosecution.

What Needs Testing ?

All items of electrical equipment in the workplace which plug into a socket, i.e. computers, kettles, fridges, power tools etc.

What We Do.

Having received your inquiry we will submit to you our quotation based on the cost per appliance. Should you wish us to visit your premises first we will carry out an audit and give advice on frequency of testing free.
If you return your signed acceptance of our quotation we shall contact you in order to arrange a convenient date for us to carry out the testing. On completion of the on-site work our engineers will download the results and our office staff will then submit them to you.
When your testing is next due we will send you notification 4 weeks prior and you will need to sign and return the form.
In the case of large contracts you will receive test results during the course of carrying out the work, or in the case of multiple site contacts as each site is completed.
